Fate in Review – 2024 Edition Editorial Design

Project Overview:
FATE in Review is an online academic publication that promotes excellence in college-level foundation courses in studio art and art history. Under the guidance of Michael Kellner, Associate Professor at Columbus College of Art and Design, I had the opportunity to design the 2024 edition. This project allowed me to contribute to the visual voice of the art education community while strengthening my editorial design skills in a collaborative, real-world setting.

Creative Approach:
The design centered on clarity, accessibility, and a bold celebration of creative foundations. I built a layered visual identity using overlapping color fields and geometric forms to reflect the energy and diversity of the academic arts space. Typography choices prioritized readability with a modern edge, ensuring a clean, consistent experience across varied content. Throughout the process, I focused on balancing visual impact with academic professionalism—crafting a publication that informs, engages, and inspires.
